Hey, I’m Abby

A professional violist and Suzuki violin and viola teacher in Salt Lake City, Miss Dreher received her BME and BM from Illinois State University. At the University of Colorado at Boulder, she studied with the Takács Quartet and received her MM. She has held positions with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Miami Symphony and the Palm Beach Symphony, and the Hexum Quartet. Residency at the Banff Centre, as well as attending the Aspen Music Festival were pivotal summers in her performing career. Miss Dreher was a guest artist for the Palm Beach Chamber Society and has held positions at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, as well as the Pre-Juilliard Prep program at North Broward Preparatory School. She taught advanced general music curriculum at the Aspen Community School and as an artist teacher with the Aspen Music Festival and Bravo! Vail Haciendo Música. Miss Dreher teaches the Suzuki method in person and virtually to students in Colorado and Utah. Most notably, she teaches group violin and viola classes, chamber music and lectures at the Gifted Music School and Project GRIT in Salt Lake City. She received her Every Child Can and Violin Units 1 -4 and is continuing her training with Debbie Moench and at the Intermountain Suzuki Institute. She is also a board member with the Suzuki Association of Utah. In her free time, she enjoys long hikes, climbing, skiing and paddle boarding.
